Praying for Ourselves

Sometimes we get so wrapped up in praying for others, we forget to pray for ourselves. This month our prayer guide is focused on practicing self care through prayer.

This new Prayer Guide can help you get the most out of your prayer habit. By taking a few minutes each day to speak directly with God, you’ll begin to see how it can transform your life.

In this Prayer Guide you’ll be prompted with a different prayer topic each day. This does not mean you shouldn’t pray or think about anything else, it’s just a prompt to help you get started.

How To Get The Most Out Of Your Prayer Guide

  1. Find yourself a notebook to use as a Prayer Journal. This is not mandatory to use this guide, but it’s a helpful tool. By writing in a Prayer Journal you can strengthen your prayer practice with more focus and less distraction.

  2. Set aside 10-15 minutes each day to write & pray. Reading over your prayers afterwards gives you the power of voice by speaking your blessings aloud.

  3. Afterwards, take a moment to silently reflect and seek a response from God. You may not hear an audible voice. You may not even hear an answer to your prayer immediately every time. But taking time to listen and wait expectantly will ensure you don’t miss it, when He does speak to you.
