Baptisms & Celebrations
Be washed clean & made whole
What does it mean to be baptized?
Baptism is an outward expression of an inward love. It’s a gesture that we make, in obedience, to show others that we have, and continue to nurture a personal relationship with God.
Physically, it’s confessing your love for Jesus, and being dipped into water; which symbolizes “washing away” your sins. Spiritually, we go under as our old selves—with our old mindset and our old sins—and we come out purified and clean.
Traditionally, when baptized, you are lowered into the water and raised again. However, the “Holy Wild Way” gives you options. We believe you’re not any “less saved” if you dive in head first, or cannon ball your way into salvation.
Baptism isn’t what saves you, anyway. You are saved by grace alone, because of your faith (Ephesians 2:8). Baptism is simply the act of obedience which expresses your faith publicly.
At TLCC, You can choose to be baptized traditionally, by “walking the plank,” or “the holy wild slide”. At our New Caney Campus all 3 of these “styles” of baptism are available in our Olympic-sized pool. At our Crosby Campus, we have a traditional baptistry, so the congregation can celebrate your new beginning with you at the start of our service.

WHat does the Bible say about baptisms?
Baptism requires water:
2. Baptism requires coming out of the water:
3. We are called to follow His example in all things, including baptism.
When Can I get baptized?
We hold Community Baptisms at both of our church locations on the second Sunday of every month. Feel free to fill out the form below to sign up for your baptism.
We celebrate each baptism as a new day!
We celebrate every new believers decision to be baptized, because it truly is a life altering decision and we are incredibly proud to be a part of it! Each member who is baptized in our community is celebrated with a printed certificate of baptism. This certificate is dated, signed by our Pastor, and serves as a physical reminder of the joyous occasion.
