Baby Dedications
Jesus Loves the little children
What is a baby dedication ceremony?
A baby dedication is a ceremony that celebrates new life. This is when parents present their baby to the pastor, and congregation, and vow to do everything in their power to raise their child in the ways of God, and not according to their own, earthly ways.
The church also prays over the child, vowing, in return, to do their part training the child up, and setting a good example for the child.
Why do we dedicate our children to the church?
As a parent, it is our responsibility to care for our children when they are unable to care for themselves. Similarly, when children are too young to decide for themselves to follow Christ, it’s our duty to bring them up and show them a Godly lifestyle.
We believe baptism is a personal decision to be made in a season of life when you fully understand, and experience, your relationship with God. Because of this, when a baby, or young child, is too young to be baptized, we choose to celebrate their life with a baby dedication ceremony instead.
What does the Bible say about bringing our children up in church?
Children are a blessing from God
2. Teach them young, and they’ll continue on that path
3. We should lead by example
When Can I dedicate my child?
We celebrate Baby Dedications at both our of church locations on the first Sunday of every month. Feel free to fill out the form below to sign your child up to be dedicated to The Little Country Church.
We celebrate each baby dedication as a new day!
We celebrate every believers decision to have their baby dedicated, because it truly is a life altering decision and we are incredibly proud to be a part of it! Each family who has their baby dedicated in our church is celebrated with a printed certificate of dedication, as well as a baby bible for the child’s upbringing. This certificate is dated, signed by our Pastor, and serves as a physical reminder of the joyous occasion.
