God Sees Your Keys

God Sees Your Keys (2).jpg

Remember as a kid wondering how Santa could be all over the world in one night? As an adult, we can believe in the “spirit” of St. Nick, one who anonymously delivered gifts to good little girls and boys, but we know the true meaning of Christmas and that God is the deliverer of ALL things good.

But as a believer, have you ever questioned how God can listen to ALL the prayers of every person on Earth? Have you ever thought maybe you shouldn’t bother him with finding your keys because He’s certainly got wars and death to conquer? A recent devotional reminded me that God is infinite in all His ways. He is omnipresent and omniscient, meaning He’s everywhere and He knows everything. He is the maker of all resources so we do not need to fear that He will ever run out. The bible is full of references that prove to us that He deeply cares for us and our needs and desires; if it matters to us, it matters to Him. Certainly, a God who knows the number of hairs on our head (Luke 12:7), and bottles our tears (Ps. 56:8) is a God who desires to be a part of our lives, from the little day to day things to the occasional mountains we encounter. God is not a God of just enough, He is a God of more than enough, a God of abundance, it’s all He knows. He wants to shower us with His love and blessing, but He wants us to ask for it, through prayer and petition, with thanksgiving.

Delight in the times God answers your insignificant requests, like finding your keys or finding a great parking spot. It helps you to grow your faith and to realize that He will be there for you when the tsunami comes crashing in.
